Business Retention and Expansion Division (BR&E)

Recognizing Governor Mike Beebe’s desire to develop a viable existing industry program, AEDC Director Maria Haley created the AEDC Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) Division to work exclusively with existing employers and their representatives to stimulate job retention and expansion. This will enable Arkansas to compete more effectively in the global marketplace for new business and jobs, and create a business retention strategy to reduce closures.

Description of Existing BR&E Programs and Services:
• Targeted Industry Consultations and Solution Referrals
• Analysis of Industry Issues and Solutions
• Rapid Response to Industry Closures and Layoffs             
• Industry Analysis and Sector Contributions required for the retention strategy
• Updating Manufacturers Directory for AEDC
• Regional BRE Organization Programs
• Technical Assistance on retaining industry through Product Deliverables and Professional Development
