American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
Community Development Block Grants
The State of Arkansas received a total of $5,144,608 for the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-R) funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). As a requirement for receiving the funds, the State must submit a substantial amendment to its Action Plan for the program year 2008 to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) before June 29, 2009.
The State also published the proposed amendment, including a spreadsheet showing proposed projects, on its website for public review and comment. The public was allowed a minimum of seven days to review the amendment and the spreadsheet and submit comments.
