Brian McKinzie was appointed to the ARDC in 2019 by the President Pro Tempore, Senator Jim Hendren. Brian lives in Gravette, Arkansas where he currently serves as the Gravette High School Resource Officer. Brian began his career in law enforcement when he joined the Siloam Springs Police Force in 1981, after which he became a Wildlife Officer with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in 1985. He served in the district that covers the counties of Scott, Yell, Polk, Montgomery and Pike until 1991, at which time he transferred to Benton County. Here he was responsible for Benton, Washington, Carroll, Madison, Boone and Newton counties and obtained the rank of Captain in 2009. He retired from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission on August 1, 2017 to accept a job with the Gravette Police Department. Brian and his wife, Sandy, have been married 33 years and have three sons.
