Arkansas Foreign Owned Business Report

Identifies Arkansas companies that are subsidiaries of foreign parents. Companies are arranged alphabetically by country of ultimate parent ownership. If the ultimate parent was a holding company, the parent a level below was listed. This list was prepared using the online version of Hoover’s, Reference USA and corporate web pages. While every attempt has been made to make this list as complete as possible, some facilities in the state may have been inadvertently omitted. Employment estimates are used for all employers to ensure confidentiality.

International Business Report

According to U.S. Department of Commerce data, Arkansas has a significant amount of international business activity: approximately 31,600 workers are employed by foreign-owned firms; more than half of the jobs created by foreign-owned entities are in manufacturing; and foreign direct investment in Arkansas was responsible for 3.4 percent of the state's total private-industry employment.

Export Statistics

Arkansas ranked 37th in the U.S. in value of total exports in 2015 ($5.9 billion). The state’s trade decreased 14.37 percent from 2014-2015. In the last five years, the overall volume of exports from Arkansas has increased. Total exports from Arkansas in 2015 were 12.5 percent above total exports in 2010.
