Solfuels USA Acquires Biodiesel Plant in Helena
December 19, 2016Solfuels who is a well-known biodiesel trader operating from Singapore has beentrading and contract manufacturing biodiesel for export to both Europe and the USA for many years and this venture together with Hong Kong-based Agritrade Resources is their first plant acquisition in the USA.
Henri J. Bardon who is the CEO of Solfuels USA said: “We believe that an acquisition of a plant in the USA, together with a strong partner like Agritrade Resources, is the perfect combination and timing as the mandates (RVO) recently confirmed by the EPA through 2018 is now creating a much larger market for Biomass-based biodiesel. We are convinced that local biodiesel production capacity in the US remains largely underinvested and the location of this plant 60 miles south of Memphis, with its multi-modal logistical capabilities, makes it an ideal location from which to distribute biodiesel.”
In consideration of the large property acquired Solfuels USA has plenty of space to expand as necessary its operational and/or supply chain capabilities in Helena, Arkansas.
