Arkansas Rural Development Conference cancelled due to COVID-19

 April 28, 2020

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (April 24, 2020) – The Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s Division of Rural Service regrettably announces that the 2020 Arkansas Rural Development Conference, scheduled to be held May 19-21 at the Red Wolf Convention Center in Jonesboro, has been cancelled amid concerns due to the unpredictability with COVID-19.

“The decision to cancel the Rural Development Conference was not made lightly, but the concern over the health and safety of our many partners and communities throughout Arkansas is of our utmost priority,” said Secretary of Commerce Mike Preston. “Our communities are the lifeblood of our state, and while we know that this conference provides many benefits to our participants, we believe this is the right decision based on current information.”

Those who already registered for the conference have the option to carry their registration over to next year’s conference, scheduled to be held May 4-6, 2021, also at the Red Wolf Convention Center in Jonesboro.
