Taber Extrusions Opens New Expansion at Russellville, Arkansas Facility

 September 15, 2026

Largest new direct extrusion press in North America goes online

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (September 15, 2026) – Taber Extrusions held a grand opening for its new $85 million facility expansion in Russellville, Arkansas. The expansion supports the introduction of the largest new direct extrusion press in North America and is expected to create 70 new jobs in Russellville.

"We are excited to see this project come to life after many years of planning and building,” said Chuck Stout, President of Taber Extrusions. “The capacity and enhanced capability that this new press line will provide is critical to the long-term success of Taber and our valued customers in the aerospace, defense, and heavy industrial markets.”

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders joined Taber executives, state official, and local leaders to celebrate the grand opening of the facility expansion. During the grand opening, guests toured the new expansion, and speakers representing Taber, the State of Arkansas, the City of Russellville, and Pope County highlighted the economic impact of the expansion.

“When we announced Taber’s expansion at the Farnborough Airshow two years ago, we knew it would be a major investment in Arkansas manufacturing. Today, they opened the doors to the largest new direct extrusion press in North America, right here in Russellville,” said Governor Sanders. “With new jobs and new capabilities supporting America’s aerospace and defense industries, Taber is continuing to prove Arkansas can compete on the world stage.”

The state-of-the-art 10,000-ton, 16-inch front load direct press has a 16-inch (406mm) container and can handle profiles up to 600mm wide. It is designed to meet the demands of the aerospace, national defense, and heavy industrial markets, with the ability to produce large, single-piece aluminum profiles that eliminate the need for complex multi-part assemblies in mission-critical applications. Taber Extrusions’ new press went online in June 2026, and it has limited production availability opening in Q3 2026.

“With this grand opening, Taber Extrusions is taking the next step in growing its capabilities and business in Russellville, Arkansas,” said Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. “Taber Extrusions has been a valuable part of the local business community for years, and this expansion shows that they are thriving in Russellville’s and Pope County’s welcoming business environment. Congratulations to the Taber team, the City of Russellville, and Pope County on this major milestone.”

Taber Extrusions first announced this expansion at the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2024 alongside Governor Sanders and state economic development officials. A groundbreaking was held for the facility in April 2025.

“Taber’s investment in Russellville means more good-paying jobs and greater opportunity for Arkansans in aerospace and defense, advanced manufacturing, and heavy industry,” said Dr. Megan Selman, CEO of the Russellville Chamber and the Russellville Regional Alliance for Economic Development. “These are industries the River Valley was built on, and this expansion proves they’re not just part of our past — they’re a big part of our future. We’re proud to see Taber continue to invest, grow, and create opportunity right here in Russellville.”

"Taber Extrusions' investment in Russellville is one more example of our city's growing industrial success and a testament to our incredible workforce,” said Russellville Mayor Fred Teague. “Knowing an internationally respected name trusts our community to produce products with a global impact gives future generations confidence that Russellville is and will always be a wonderful place to raise a family."

“Taber Extrusions continues to define what Made in America is all about, and most importantly, what Made in Arkansas is all about,” said Pope County Judge Ben Cross. “As a steadfast community partner for over 50 years, this amazing investment in technology, job creation, and future opportunities, will ensure the viability of Taber Extrusions for generations to come.”
