Preparing Manufacturers and Machine Shops for the Digital Future and Government Contracting Opportunities
Preparing Manufacturers and Machine Shops for the Digital Future and Government Contracting Opportunities
About the Course
If you own a small or medium business, you are the backbone of American commerce. We live in a time of great progress, where technological advances have allowed manufacturing to produce higher-quality products at a much faster pace. In fact, digital manufacturing is quickly becoming required to do business with government agencies. Small and medium businesses must keep up with the ever-changing industry norms, especially to obtain government contracts.
Protecting your business against the associated risks of incorporating technology is also imperative. Cybersecurity is often overlooked until an attack has already occurred. Data shows a cybersecurity breach on a small business cost an average of $38,000 in 2015, and 60 percent of victimized small businesses went out of business within six months.
In this training, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center will help you better understand digital manufacturing concepts and demands, cyber security, and the processes required to become qualified to bid on available government contracts.
