The Office of Skills Development (OSD), a Division of the Arkansas Department of Commerce will be hosting an inaugural Arkansas Accelerating Apprenticeship Summit during National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) on Tuesday, November 14^th at the Embassy Suites in Little Rock.

This one-day in-person event is free for attendees and is dedicated to the day’s NAW theme of New and Emerging Industries in Apprenticeship. The meeting will include a mix of plenary/joint sessions, industry and topical breakout sessions, and recognition spotlight highlights offering opportunities to connect with industry leaders, learn about how apprenticeship programs are working in non-traditional sectors, and discover the benefits of this proven workforce development strategy for your business.

The meeting will include highlighted presentations from:

• John Pallasch, Founder and CEO, Once Workforce Solutions and former Assistant Secretary for the Employment and Training Administration, U.S. Department of Labor
• Ami Motsenbocker, Strategic Workforce and Apprenticeship Lead, Lockheed Martin Corporation
• State leaders sharing information on registered apprenticeship and workforce development strategies
