Clayton Home Building Group Celebrates Grand Opening of New Home Building Facility in Conway, Arkansas
March 05, 2026CONWAY, Ark. (March 5, 2026) – Clayton, a leading national builder of attainable single-family homes, celebrated the grand opening of its new home building facility in Conway, Arkansas. This location marks the company’s 41st home building facility, and the first new facility opened since 2016.

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders joined company executives and other state and local leaders for the grand opening ceremony. During the ceremony, guests toured the home building facility and multiple speakers representing Clayton, the State of Arkansas, and the City of Conway spoke to the economic impact of the new facility.
“Arkansas was recently ranked the number one state for inbound movers for the second year in a row, and companies like Clayton are ensuring that some of these new Arkansas residents not only have an affordable place to live but also a great place to work,” said Governor Sanders. “We are incredibly grateful that they chose Conway for their new manufacturing facility, and we are looking forward to the jobs and opportunity this will bring to Central Arkansas and beyond in the years ahead.”
Clayton is investing $42 million in modernizing an existing 220,000-square-foot facility. The indoor, air‑conditioned facility, which protects homes from seasonal weather conditions, is expected to build 3,000 homes each year and create more than 250 new jobs in the region.

Congratulations to Clayton and the community of Conway on this milestone that will bring success for many years to come.”
