Jennifer Fowler Receives IEEE-USA Honor

 April 11, 2024

Jennifer Fowler, director of AEDC’s Arkansas National Science Foundation EPSCoR, was honored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE-USA) for her contribution to the engineering and technologist community.

Fowler received the award for “Distinguished Public Service” for promoting innovation, technology, and workforce development in Arkansas. The distinguished public service award honors an individual not currently in engineering who helps to influence laws or regulations, industrial environments to foster professionalism curricula, or publications designed to enhance professionalism in engineering.

“I am honored to receive this award, particularly to recognize something that largely goes unrecognized and unrewarded - public service,” Fowler said. “This recognition reinforces my passion and support for what all of us are doing as we endeavor to create opportunities and economic growth for Arkansans.”
