The Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) has published a new Economic Development Guide highlighting the benefits of living, working, and doing business in Arkansas.

The Arkansas Economic Development Guide provides a high-level overview of what’s going on in the Natural State, spotlighting recent business successes, thriving industries, growth trends, and more.

Inside the guide, there are multiple sections focused on different aspects of the Natural State. There is a featured stories section that has articles on a range of topics, including entrepreneurship, rural economic development successes, the lithium industry, and Arkansas’ military installations. This section also features interviews with Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Arkansas Secretary of Commerce Hugh McDonald.

Another section focuses on Arkansas’ business strengths. These articles provide a deeper dive into AEDC’s culture of excellence, the state’s growing foreign direct investment momentum, workforce development, and more.

Arkansas has multiple target industries, and the Economic Development Guide offers a peek at several of these industries. There are industry profiles on the timber industry, aerospace and defense industry, firearms industry, film industry, technology sector, steel production, and food and beverage industry. These profiles demonstrate the diversity of Arkansas’ economy and its competitiveness in individual sectors.

Following the industry profiles, the Economic Development Guide has four case studies on Arkansas companies. These case studies – for Trex, Westrock Coffee, SIG Sauer, and Weyerhaeuser – shine a light on recent investments, new facilities, and/or expansion in Arkansas.

Arkansas is called the Natural State because of its natural beauty, and the final section takes full advantage of this with a photo gallery of the great outdoors around the state. Readers can learn more about outdoor recreation and overall quality of life in the Natural State by looking at this section.

Whether you read it from cover-to-cover or browse through it, the Arkansas Economic Development Guide is a treasure trove of information about our state. Companies in Arkansas are growing because they have all the tools and resources needed to succeed, and individuals and families are finding success here as well.
