Eighteen Arkansas Companies Make 2022 Inc. 5000 List

With its strong workforce and low cost of doing business, Arkansas is home to a wide range of rapidly growing companies. Recently, several Arkansas companies have received national recognition for their substantial growth.

Eighteen Arkansas companies have been named to the 2022 Inc. 5000 list, which recognizes the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States.

To qualify for the 2022 Inc. 5000 list, companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent entities that were founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2018. The minimum required revenue for 2018 and 2022 was $100,000 and $2 million, respectively. The companies were ranked based on percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021.

According to Inc. Magazine, the 18 Arkansas companies had a median growth of 176% from 2018 to 2021. In total, the Arkansas companies reported $495.4 million in total revenue and added 742 jobs to the economy.

The 18 Arkansas companies, in order of appearance on the list, are:

  • Greer and Greer Independent Insurance (Fayetteville)
  • Natural State Pest Control (Lowell)

Hughes/Technology/SmartData Dashboard was the highest ranked Arkansas company on the Inc. 5000 list, making the top 100 at no. 89. The education technology company reported 4,668% growth from 2018 to 2021.

Surfco Restoration & Construction was the second-highest ranked company in Arkansas based on growth with a reported growth rate of 1,517%. The top five of fastest growing companies in Arkansas were rounded out by Bold Strategies (727%), RMRJ Assets (700%), and James + James (672%).

Ten of the companies on the 2022 list are repeat honorees. These companies include Acorn Influence, Bold Strategies, Chenal Family Therapy, FENEX Healthcare Consulting, Greer and Greer Independent Insurance, Natural State Pest Control, Nuqleous, Ron Sherman Advertising, Stratice, and Slim Chickens.

Arkansas’ advertising and marketing industry had the largest representation on the Inc. 5000 list with four firms ranked, followed by three firms in the construction industry and two software firms. The remaining companies were in the business products and services, consumer products, consumer services, food and beverage, education, health services, human resources, insurance, and telecommunications industries.

The Arkansas companies on the 2022 Inc. 5000 list span a wide spectrum of industries, from food and beverage to telecommunications. This is reflective of Arkansas as a whole, which has a diverse economy with many different industries, from agriculture to aerospace and defense, working and producing essential goods and services in The Natural State.
