James Myatt

James Myatt was appointed to the ARDC in 2015 by Speaker of the House, Representative Jeremy Gillham and reappointed in 2018 by Governor Asa Hutchinson. He serves on the Rural Community Grant sub-committee. James has worked in the banking industry for nearly three decades with an emphasis in agricultural, commercial, installment and residential loans. He is the Sr. Vice-President of a Cornerstone Bank in Berryville, Market President for the Berryville Market and a member of the Executive Committee. Previous to his position with Cornerstone, Myatt served as the Vice President of Community First Bank in Harrison from 2006 to 2009. He is the former owner of Heritage Town & Country Equipment Company in Harrison, a John Deere dealership. Myatt also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Berryville Chamber of Commerce and is active in a variety of civic organizations including the Lions Club, Youth Bridge and Cattleman’s Association. He and his wife, Gwenna attend First United Methodist Church of Harrison.
