Arkansas Ranked #1 for Seasonally Adjusted Nonfarm Payroll Job Growth Percentage Increase

Arkansas was recently ranked #1 in the nation for percentage increase in month over month Seasonally Adjusted Nonfarm Payroll Job growth.

In its monthly State Employment and Unemployment Summary, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) announced that Arkansas had the largest percentage growth in the nation for Seasonally Adjusted Payroll job growth between February 2024 and March 2024. Arkansas’ nonfarm payroll was up 0.5%.

There were 6,500 jobs added in Arkansas, according to the BLS, as part of the Seasonally Adjusted Payroll job growth between February and March.

Arkansas’ overall unemployment rate decreased from February to March, declining from 3.6% to 3.5%. The state’s civilian labor force increased, rising by 519 in March.

In total, there were 1,337,337 Arkansans employed in March 2024.
